Quadraphonic formed out of the ashes of The Hiway Blues Band and have been a regularly gigging outfit since 2004. Whilst mostly a classic rock covers band, they do also play a select few of Rob Smith penned recordings as well. A highlight for this band was a live performance being aired on Channel 7 (a former Taranaki television station).
I remember The Hiway Blues Band fondly - the chemistry that you guys had there was always that of such a funfilled bunch of guys, we had some good times rockin' out and whilst Quadraphonic have gone on to do allsorts of cool things, it's a shame the original line-up of the band never has the chance to write/record any original material.
ReplyDeleteI do however like the set-list for this album and am still mindblown that what started out as a bit of a laugh is still a regular track you guys play live.
